Master of Science in Project Management

Program Description

The Master of Science in Project Management is a graduate program designed to equip professionals with advanced knowledge, tools, and skills for planning, executing, and managing complex projects across a wide range of industries. The curriculum combines fundamental project management methodologies with leadership, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making. Students will learn to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and quality, aligning each project with organizational objectives and sustainability principles. Upon completion, they will be prepared to lead cross-functional teams and generate value in dynamic, high-risk environments. 

The master’s program offers majors in three key areas, fundamental to the professional success of our graduates: 

Major in Product Innovation and Development 

This major focuses on the end-to-end process of commercializing innovative products and services. Students will explore methodologies such as design thinking, agile project management, and lean development to drive innovation and increase user value. Topics include idea generation, prototyping, market testing, product lifecycle management, and innovation strategy. Upon completion, students will be equipped to lead product development initiatives, manage multidisciplinary teams, and drive innovation in dynamic, customer-centric industries such as technology, manufacturing, and consumer goods. 

Major in Program and Portfolio Management 

This specialization prepares students to manage multiple interrelated projects and align them with broader organizational strategies through effective portfolio management. Emphasis is placed on governance, prioritization, resource allocation, performance metrics, and value creation. Students will gain practical knowledge of enterprise-level decision-making and strategic execution. They will also be qualified to lead large-scale programs and portfolios, contributing to organizational transformation and long-term value creation in both the private and public sectors. 

Major in Procurement and Contract Management 

This specialization provides students with specialized knowledge and skills in procurement strategy, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation in project contexts. The curriculum covers supply chain management, legal aspects of contracts, risk assessment, cost analysis, and ethical sourcing. Students will learn to design and manage purchasing processes that ensure project efficiency and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they will be prepared to serve as purchasing managers, contract administrators, and sourcing specialists, ensuring strategic value and legal certainty in project execution.

Graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree are able to:

  3. Prepare students to manage product innovation: Provide key methodologies—such as design thinking, agile project management, and lean development—to drive innovation in products and services, increase user value, and oversee the entire product lifecycle.

  4. Develop skills in program and portfolio management: Equip students to manage multiple interrelated projects and align them with broader organizational strategies, emphasizing governance, prioritization, resource allocation, and performance metrics for long‑term value creation.

  5. Enhance strategic procurement and contract management: Build deep expertise in procurement strategy, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation, enabling students to design and manage purchasing processes that ensure efficiency, compliance, and strategic value in project execution.

  6. Prepare students for project management in both public and private sectors: Train graduates to lead projects in diverse industries—including technology, manufacturing, consumer goods, and government—by integrating best management practices, customer needs, and sustainability principles.

  7. Enhance interpersonal and communication skills: Strengthen students’ abilities in effective communication, team management, and negotiation so they can lead internal teams and engage successfully with clients and suppliers.
